How CA Neeraj Agrawal and A2N Advisory Is Building Trust with LA’s Small Businesses

When I first reached out to CA Neeraj Agrawal, founder of A2N Advisory, I was expecting a standard offshore accountant interview — polite, process-driven, and somewhat distant. What I got instead was a sharp, deeply involved professional who’s quietly reshaping how small businesses in Los Angeles manage their taxes and finances.

A2N Advisory isn’t a massive firm with skyscrapers or flashy branding. It operates from India — but it operates with clarity, speed, and precision that many U.S.-based firms struggle to offer. Over a few long calls and shared reports, I got to understand not just what A2N does — but how Neeraj has designed it to serve the unique needs of LA entrepreneurs.

A Focus on the Underserved

“We don’t go after big corporations,” Neeraj told me early on. “Our focus is simple — small business owners, self-employed professionals, and startups who need someone to really listen.”

That focus shows. A2N offers full tax support, bookkeeping, financial statements, and even IRS correspondence help. But what stood out more was the style — client-first, fast responses, and a willingness to explain everything in simple terms.

“Many of our clients don’t understand Schedule C or 1099s,” he said, “and that’s okay. We break it down for them. They shouldn’t feel lost in numbers. That’s what it takes to make them feel that they are getting the best tax services in Los Angeles.”

Why Outsourcing Works — If Done Right

There’s skepticism in the U.S. around outsourcing financial tasks. But Neeraj didn’t shy away from it. He leaned into it.

“Outsourcing is not just about cost. Yes, we save you 40-60% compared to local firms. But the real gain is in availability and depth,” he said. “We work when they sleep. They send us data in the evening — we deliver results next morning. That’s 24-hour productivity without even trying.”

Neeraj and his team are all trained chartered accountants (the Indian equivalent of CPAs) with additional U.S. tax training. A2N has built internal guides and U.S. tax compliance checklists that even rival some California-based boutique firms.

Building Trust from 8,000 Miles Away

One question I had to ask — how does he manage to build trust from across the globe?

Neeraj answered with a smile. “We don’t talk like a BPO. We talk like a partner. My clients know me by name. I text them, send voice notes, do Zoom calls. I even help them choose QuickBooks plans.”

Several clients he works with didn’t even know A2N was based in India. “They just know we get the job done,” he added.

A Vision for Long-Term U.S. Engagement

But Neeraj is not content with staying offshore forever. His next goal? Getting physically closer to his clients.

“We’re planning a small rep office in California. Nothing big, just a bridge,” he said. “I want my clients to know that they can meet us if they need to. That we’re not just ‘outsourced help’ — we’re part of their growth.”

He also aims to attend small business expos in the U.S., participate in webinars with U.S. chambers of commerce, and offer a hybrid model — part onshore, part offshore.

What I learned after speaking with Neeraj wasn’t just about tax strategies or QuickBooks hacks. It was about mindset. A2N isn’t winning because it’s cheap — it’s winning because it respects the client, adapts to their time zones, and delivers faster than expected.

In a world where small businesses are overwhelmed by tax rules and drowning in paperwork, people like CA Neeraj Agrawal offer something rare — clarity and calm.

And maybe, for LA’s growing startups and solopreneurs, that’s exactly what they need.
